Common things among American people who live in Japan
Today, I listened to Hapa Eikaiwa Ep. 311, and in this podcast common things among American people who live in Japan was introduced. First, They were asked if they dye their own hair and wear some kind of wigs. Japanese people often care about the color of the hair, but American people don't think it noteworthy. This is the main content of the podcast, so I'm gonna introduce the English expression I didn't know. That's "I owe you one.". This is another way of saying "Thank you.".
I listened to the same podcast too! He has a lot of interesting stories!
返信削除I think the reason why Japanese care about foreigners' hair colors is that we have almost same hair color! Sometimes mentioning one's appearance makes him uncomfortable though.
I keep it in mind not to bring up that kind of topics so that I won't offend someone.
