The Things a Guy Will Do for a Girl

      Today I listened to a podcast called “The Things a Guy Will Do for a Girl”. They talked about the differences between dating in the United States and dating in Japan. They said that most things are the same, but in the United States girls never call out boys for dating. In addition, couples in the United States don't use the words like "Will you be my girlfriend/boyfriend?" when they start dating. In many ways, people in the United States use direct expression, but in this case, people in Japan use directer words.

Common things among American people who live in Japan

      Today, I listened to Hapa Eikaiwa Ep. 311, and in this podcast common things among American people who live in Japan was introduced. First, They were asked if they dye their own hair and wear some kind of wigs. Japanese people often care about the color of the hair, but American people don't think it noteworthy. This is the main content of the podcast, so I'm gonna introduce the English expression I didn't know. That's "I owe you one.". This is another way of saying "Thank you.".

Good Movie

     A movie that I really liked was "Your name.". The movie was made by Makoto Shinkai, who is a very famous animation director in Japan. The main character of the movie was Taki, who lived in Tokyo, and Mitsuha, who lived in Hida and they were both high school students.      In the movie, Mitsuha was saved by Taki from comets that were falling on Hida by changing the past. At the end of the story, Taki saved Mitsuha, and a few years later, Taki met Mitsuha and then asked "Your name,,,".      When I watched this movie, I was 15 years old and a junior high school student and I was very fascinated by the movie, but I don't know the exact reason for it. I infer that the age of me and Taki and MItsuha was very close to my age, so maybe I felt a sense of familiarity.
